Cape Town’s exciting Urban Afro Pop and Hip Hop artist straight from Gugulethu, Stepdaddy, returns with a new single that encourages you to take your time and get to know love, titled "Ixesha" featuring Benny Afroe.
"Ixesha" which means 'time' in isiXhosa, is a song about patience and taking the time to get to know someone with their flaws and everything you love or hate about them. Ixesha emphasises the effects of rushing too quickly into a romantic relationship and the emotional baggage that comes with not being mature enough to handle it.
“The song is for anyone who has been in love. Anyone who has been hurt. It's about reflecting and taking time and I hope people can practice being patient with themselves,” shares Stepdaddy.
Produced by Tweezy who Stepdaddy reveals to be one of his favourite and best producers in the country, and joined by fellow label mate, Benny Afroe, who Stepdaddy found as a great addition to the track; take the time and indulge yourself with some romantic, soulful, and meaningful melodies.
