Nalu is a 22 year old artist, singer, song-writer and producer from Cape Town with sounds that compass a collection of genres and influences. With the use of elements from jazz, R&B, soul, acoustic, classical, alternative and lofi sounds, she explores themes of womanhood, love, spirituality, growth and desire. Her latest single ‘Lockdown Blues’ is an ode to the waves of emotions that on experiences in isolation. With COVID-19 hitting the world, Nalu feels pushed to tap into the parts of herself that she could so easily be distracted from, before lockdown. During a weird time of unease and uncertainty, she finds peace in the conversations in her head, embracing the unknown whilst acknowledging her fear of it.
