The first 3 weeks of quarantine came with a lot of 'at-home' activities, instead of spending our days sobbing, we actually entertained ourselves the best way we can by creating content for everyone to enjoy from home. One of those content creations was the 'Evolution Of SA hip-hop' musical battle, that was presented by SA's super producers Tweezy and Gemini Major, which took place every Thursday at 22h00. The concept was to have musicians battle it out, catalogue for catalogue in a 15 round battle on an Instagram Live stream. We witnessed a battle between Nasty C & Emtee; Riky Rick & Okmalumkoolkat; Tweezy & Gemini; Lunatik & Makwa; and so fourth, but the good times indeed came to an end.
With fans of SA hip-hop begging Tweezy and Gemini Major to relive the moments again, it looks like the producers have decided to listen to their followers and therefore have hinted that ROUND 2 is on the way! Let us know who should battle it out on the return of the "Evolution Of SA Hip Hop' and continue making history.
