Last night was the kick off to the annual celebrated musical events SAMA 26. This year with a twist though, due to obvious reasons, the SAMA awards are to be held digitally as this may be seen as the new "normal". In that case, everyday of this week, the SAMA awards will take place to celebrate the deserving musicians whilst adhering to the covid-19 regulations. Last night TV personality and actress Dineo Langa hosted the day one of SAMA26 awards with comedian and media personality Donovan Goliath and had the pleasure to award musicians on the following categories: "New Comer Of The Year", "Best Traditional Faith Music Album", "Best Collaboration", "Rest Of Africa Award", "Beste Kontemporêre Musiek Album", "Best Jazz Album", "Best African Indigenous Gospel Album", and "Best Traditional Album".
Mixed emotions all over social media but the question is, did you guys actually vote for your favourites? Catch the second episode of the SAMA 26 Awards tonight on Mzansi Magic (Channel 161).
