They said all concerts that were set to take place in the year 2020 are cancelled due to the coronavirus - but are they really?
For creatives, the ability to do what they love is vital, and with the solutions brought forward by the Department of Arts and Culture only brings forth a once off relief, it does not necessarily enable creatives to create. Doing our bit to Support The Culture, we have teamed up with broadcast live-stream solution, Militia, to ensure and enable artists to make income from paid virtual concerts. In this way, fans can support the industry and their favourite artists by purchasing tickets for the concert.
With experience running for over 10 years, Militia Broadcast was in 2010 commissioned to head up a team to produce and live-stream all FIFA 3D activation's and user activities globally during the FIFA world cup 2010. The broadcast also gave birth to SKYROOMLIVE which was the first ever live streaming performance platform for South African artists, and a lot more. Militia broadcast has streamed more than 2.6 million minutes of content in the last five years globally, and broadcasted close to 1200 live performances and shows in the last five years.
Kicking off our partnership, we roll out with Da King of Afrikan Rap, Kwesta, for his live concert taking place on the 29th of May, 2020. If you're a fan of Kwesta and of the culture, be sure to purchase a ticket. And if you're an artist looking to host your own virtual concert, hit us up.
