Whoever thought the OG's would sit back and abandon hip hop, was totally delusional.
Going back to the basic of South African hip hop, OG Wikid makes a return to the game after his joint collaborative effort with Fortune Masina for "True To This," which dropped in 2018. Still staying true to the culture, Wikid now teams up with producer, Beatmochini. Having secretly worked on Wikid's comeback for a while, the cat is now out of the bag. Gearing up for his upcoming, Grown Ass Man EP, Wikid takes us on the journey and making of the project. Not only does he do this though, but he blesses the street with brand new music.
Starting off with "Bring The Music Back," the song sees Wikid reminiscing of the old days, and where South African hip hop started from, all while calling out the new generation of the culture. The Beatmochini produced beat perfectly suits Wikid's cadence, after all, Boombap is what Wikid is all about. Peep the song below;
Accompanied by a docu-series; the first episode takes us behind the making of "Bring The Music Back." Check it out below;
