Music mogul and Apple Music’s Global Editorial Head of Hip Hop and R&BEbro Darden, visited South Africa, where he spent his time here with interesting young artists from Cape Town and Johannesburg documenting their lifestyle and the backhand of the making of music as well as the origin of where or sound comes from.

Ebro said he had been blown away by his experience of South Africa's Hip-hop culture in the different communities he had the pleasure of visiting during his stay and was just amazed at the extent of how we are shaping the future of hip-hop. Ebro stated that he is excited to share and tell our stories across the continent to the world.

Ebro had the pleasure to spend his time with SA's music legend in the making, Sjava, discussing everything hip-hop culture and Sjava's contribution to Kendrick Lamar's "Black Panther" soundtrack with his song "Seasons".

The music mogul also had the pleasure of speaking to Shane Eagle who took Ebron on tour, the streets where he grew up and raised him at Rabie Ridge and had Eagle speak on his inspirations with the music. 

Ebro could not visit Cape Town and not speak to Youngsta CPT who is currently running the streets of CPT. They spoke on his musical career and his education through the music that he is communicating to his young audience.

His contribution to hip hop is to bring exposure and shine the light to rising talent also serves as an opportunity for South African artists to appear on Apple Music's Rap Life playlist. A 9-minute special has been launched on Apple Music already and you can simply stream it, ad-free. Enjoy;
