Rounding Off Two Decades Of Hip-Hop; What's Your Best Era?

What has the formula of rap been like in the past two decades? Can somebody call Mr Selwyn, perhaps he's got the answers. On the real though, coming from the era of The Muthaload, the P.O.C, and whole list of others, the rap game in South Africa has always stood firm on it's feet, and it is only getting bigger and better. However, we don't all mess with all the era's though. As the evolution is constantly occurring, people that listened to rap music in 2004, are less likely to vibe with the 2016 scene. With us approaching the end of the second decade of the 2000’s, we posed a question on our social streets; which era would you keep from this list? This speaks to 19 years of the Hip-Hop era;

Hardcore raps really happened from 2000 - 2005. Those were days where bars were being traded at a high cost. The magic though, happened from 2005 - 2010. Mo'lemi, The Anvils, Glitz Gang, even Slikour! The Hype Sessions disks? They snapped!

2000 - 2005

Pro kid was making super waves
Skwatta Kamp buzzing on every speaker
ProVerb flowing on repeat
H20 what a loss I mean these guys were headed somewhere way better, Amu with that Zola thing jellying on, HHP you could dance to it, Selwyn lit rhyms
