@DJDDoubleD Sits Down With Slikour To Discuss His New Single, #ShowYou & More

The streets have been given an assortment of songs to consider on the first Friday of Women's Month. While it's important to celebrate women all year round, it is also a kind gesture to do a better job of paying homage to the women during the month of our celebration.

This time around, DJ D Double D has taken it upon himself to present the country with a song that he describes to be for the ladies. Today, he debuted his latest single, "Show You," with verses from Moozlie, Boskassie, Faith K, and Astryd Brown. The single immediately gives off a Carribean feel, reminding listeners of the Lumidee track, "Never Leave." 

Boskasie opens the track, further emphasizing the Carribean riddim that makes listeners want to wind their waists. "Show You" is a mid-tempo, Tweezy composed song. Moozlie was a good fit here, from her flow to her subject matter, it kept the mood light and fun. If you were selecting the soundtrack for a Girls Trip style of film, this is definitely one of the songs you'd consider. Faith K also held her own in the face of the beat's lower tempo. Astryd Brown closes with the last verses, bringing that singing/talking style of music, granted with some light autotuning, but still maintaining a solid contribution to the in single. 

This is the kind of song you bank for the weather's improvement, however, we believe that this will make a great spring/summer anthem!
