The stories of how people come to become Johannesburg residents changes from person to person. In the music video for Mlindo The Vocalist and Sjava's "Egoli," the duo relay the story of how three siblings become residents in Joburg. 

The music video opens with Mlindo and Sjava overlooking the Nelson Mandela bridge and the overall skyline of Johannesburg, a frame that is the likely the most recognizable geographical point in Jozi. Eventually, the story begins to unfold where three individuals go about their lives, without viewers fully getting that they all know each other. One is a student, while the other seems to be a single parent, and the other is struggling to secure employment. The music video perfectly matches the theme of the song, a track about telling one's mother that you are off to seek greener pastures; like many people who move to Johannesburg believe as well.
