On July 29, 2019, one of South Africa's largest acts made inflammatory comments around the nature of support South African musicians receive from their fellow countrymen. Another equally large act commented his opinion on the matter, which has since turned the Twitter timeline into a back-and-forth between users as well as the sharing of patriotic tweets sporting the South African flag.

Instead of feeding into this, HOPEMA$TA took the opportunity to share beat that he calls an "oldie but goodie."
