Lungelo Manzi is no new voice to SlikourOnLife. Our SOL Incubator participant has represented well throughout the past two years. After the debut of Black Dog 2, the musician is still working on pushing new music. This time around, Lungelo has his sights set on an EP release, which we anticipate will drop this year. Titled White Rabbit, the EP's first single is "Satisfy."
The single is listed under Apple's "Pop" genre, and while it isn't the type of hardcore content that many are accustomed to when it comes to hip-hop, the song still bears an element of rap. In the film industry, the term "meet-cute" refers to the moment where two characters meet in a sweet, or charming, way, which later spawns a romantic relationship. "Satisfy" is the story of such an encounter, however this time between a musician and his creative inspiration. True to the definition of a meet-cute, the single is sweet, not exactly ardent, but loaded with the kind of romance we experienced with films of the 2000s.
