Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, DJ Premier and Guru (Gang Starr), and a whole lot more. The rapper and producer duo has always been essential in the game. The practice barely exists now though, however, there are a few that still keep to it. You may know him from The Assembly, or as a formidable emcee who can rap around in circles with the sickest flow, or you might just know him as the reigning king for April's Verse of the Month. What's that I said about formidable emcee? 

Melly Mel teams up with producer and DJ 5mutedB, together they are Prxject Mayhem. Forming an Electro/Hip-Hop duo, they follow hip hop's traditional DJ/emcee formula and bro, it works. Having already accumulated a 2-EP catalog, Introducing Mayhem being the first, and Intermission, the second, introduced another dimension to the group's sound. Melly Mel and 5mutedB now work on their third work which is set to cause mayhem in springtime. Prxject Mayhem will be a full-length LP of their new season. Taking to the streets of Newtown, they shoot the visuals for their Intermission taken single "The Replay." In these, they got The Assembly squad to come and play, as they make a cameo on the monochromatic visuals. Not only do they Replay the DJ and emcee duo, but they bring the bars back.
