For Champagne69, their youth is both a source of inspiration and the cause of this pressure. Bursting onto the scene under 20, the duo has made a recognizable name for themselves in the newer wave of hip-hop music.
The two got their start on the streets of Braamfontein, hosting parties, and enjoying their youth. Initially, making music together could be considered a parody, in their opinion at least, however over time they amassed popularity for their ability to bring people together in groove. With that and their pre-existing participation in the arts, making music happened organically. Alongside PatrickxxLee, they dropped their first song and the rest is history, as they say.
