We first heard of them as a duo when they dropped the ever so fresh "TV Dinner" freestyle, where both CXNTENT and Funk were spazzing on the beat. On this, both the emcees earned a spot in top 5 of Stogie T's 'Verse of the Month' list for March, leaving the OG highly impressed.
Now, CXNTENT and Funk release a debut EP as 300 East. I mean, if you make a great duo, why not keep it going and release a project right? Although the project consists of only three tracks. The back and forth between the two emcees makes Draft Day feel even longer. Sound-wise, from TV Dinner, and the caliber of emcees CXNTENT and Funk are, I would have expected a more boom-bap, 90's era nostalgic sound, but they jump on an electric, fast paced vibe. on the production. Still keeping to the raps though, that's one thing that can't be taken from them. The request is that you bump it real loud. It that real real with 300 East.
