@TheOnlyDibi Has A Masterpiece With "Up Till Now"

It’s the era of the new school wave, the trapping era, the era of minimal raps, the era of movement. It’s called the revolution. Emcees posed a question about two years ago; “What happened to rap?” Well I ask, where are you looking?

You might know him as the “Freestyle” guy, or also as the guy who made everyone wait till June. But what you might also have to know him as is “that guy who not only can rap, but makes good music too, not just any music, but relatable music.” Keep this in mind as I walk you through his long awaited drop Up Till Now. He gave us a taste of what to expect when he released the Wait Till June EP, and to say the least, it’s totally understandable why we had to wait, ‘cause it was sure worth it.

Breaking into the South African hip hop scene has never been easy. “Blowing up” is every artist’ dream, hence you are bound to find affirmations on making it big from anyone that’s trying to break in, even those that are very close to it. Dibi is almost no different; as this forms one of the main themes on his latest offering with tracks like “It’s Time,” “Unapologetic,” “Famous,” Net Worth,” and where he looks to the future in “2025.” It’s quite clear that Dibi didn’t come all the way from Port Elizabeth for nothing. The rapper maintains a sweet balance in the music as he breaks the hardcore raps with the smoothest love songs, although mostly focused on heartbreak, the delivery is priceless. 

We had to Wait Till June, now the wait is over. The future couldn't be less brighter for Dibi, he knows this too as he proclaims on "The Hit List." This is a masterpiece, it's finally Dibi with Up Till Now. Press play:
