@BigZulu_ZN Joins Slikour On #TheBalcony

By @ on 06/04/2019 in Balcony Interview

Big Zulu likely has one of the most abstract backstories in the rap game right now. Coming from being a drag racer and a taxi driver, the rapper has made a name for himself in South Africa's rap industry. Slikour's introduction of him only gave a glimpse into the type of life Big Zulu had led over the years.

Legally known as Siyabonga Nene, Big Zulu earned his name during his five-year stint as a drag racer. In his Balcony Interview, he explains that he left the drag race life on account of having lost so many friends to the activity. By the time he got into the taxi business, the industry wasn't new to him. As someone who's family owned taxis, becoming a taxi operator was nothing short of normal. Today, he works as a rap artist, which is what led him to The Balcony with Slikour.
