Upon winning the Best Female Artist award at the 25th annual South African Music Awards ceremony, Sho Madjozi promised fans the music video for "Idhom." While accepting her award, she explained that the song was written about a cheating and philandering ex-boyfriend.
Madjozi first teased at the "Idhom" music video in August 2018, and over the past few months, she has been building hype for the drop. In the music video, Sesi Madjozi returns to her hometown and is joined by friends in her community. True to her style, the rapper is brilliantly rambunctious surrounded by equally excited music video co-stars. Tboydaflame produced the track and features throughout the video. This style of music video depicts a day in the life of Sho Madjozi while she's at home with friends.
