The best rappers know the dictionary inside and out. For The Big Hash, reading the dictionary was a way to "grasp the aspect of what it means to be a writer," and this is likely what created the artist that South Africa believes.
It may be hard to believe that the confident wordsmith wasn't the life of his classroom growing up, however being a loner made him what he is today. In the latest episode of In The Stu, Hash and Slikour unpack Young, track for track. It's about a year since the rapper joined Slikour for a Balcony Interview. At Riky Rick's 2019 Cotton Fest, the two caught up again at the event where Hash said that he was coming for necks in 2019. To see the artist come full circle by taking viewers through his album is rewarding.
Their sit-down is especially candid. From conversations about being the joke of his primary school years to talking about when Hash lost his virginity. Conversations around parental relationships can often be heart heavying, and to watch Hash speak on the failings of the relationships between his parents is certainly a moment. The rapper doesn't hold back. While that may have to do with how honest he is with his music, spending the time to go through Young with The Big Hash is enjoyable too.
