XM is known to many artists for his work behind the scenes as a skilled guitarist and beat producer. The likes of indie artists such as Naye Ayla and Una Rams are friends and patrons to his sound. In a surprise move, XM got on the chorus of his new song "Patience" and brought Cartier Morelli, Bo Maq, and Remy. Fresh names to the scene, this joint is a sonic treat.
Summertime in Cape Town has an upbeat coastal sonic profile, and when married to Carribean or reggae style production, it's even more summer-like. However, with "Patience," one can't apply the same summer concept. At the same time, it's certainly a moody coastal vibe. The percussion instruments only accentuate the Afro-Carribean energy of the track and the masculine vocals of each featuring artist make for a listener's audio treat.
