Over the past few weeks, there have been a number of big stories circulating around SA's music industry. One of which was the debacle of Burna Boy's absence from the Major League Gardens social. Another was the drama around, US artist, Lizzo's Pitchfork album review. These are just two topics, but knowing Mercia Tucker, sifting through what is noteworthy versus what is noise comes across in an enjoyable way.
This time around, Mercia has invited Gavin Gutu, the label manager of Urban (Local & International) at Universal Music Group SA. In addition, she is joined by Mzwa Sibanda, who recently moved from A&R for Publishing at Universal Music Group to a new position at Africa Creative Agency. While this may be a credit to the quality and skill of the podcast's sound engineer, Kitso Moremi, the 90-minute show is a joy to listen to and we're sure you'll like it too.
