It was in 2017 when ByLwansta was the first South African musician to grace the COLORS mic and set in Berlin with his live rendition of his song "Lindiwe." It's two years later, and another South African emcee has just shoot her episode of COLORS.
It is without a doubt that Yugen Blakrok is highly appreciated in international stages. Her peculiar sound and subject matter makes her standout, also gaining her attention outside South Africa. From being featured on the Black Panther album where she went head to head with Kendrick Lamar and Vince Staples on a track. Her sophomore album Anime Mysterium was released in February, which gained her a spot on the February 'Verse of the Month' for her verse on "Hibiscus." Yugen does not stop there, after her current France tour, she made a stop at the COLORS studios in Berlin, being the second artist in South Africa to be on the show. We're biting our nails trying to figure out which one of her songs she performed, but we'll have to wait for the episode to drop to find out. Bigs Up for Yugen for the moves!
