The time has come again and Castle Lite has unlocked yet another international artist to perform at their annual Castle Lite Unlocks show. Online, fans speculated about acts ranging from Cardi B and Kid Cudi, to Frank Ocean. On April 3, 2019, Castle Lite hosted two launches, in Durban and Johannesburg, to tell the country their news.
In a twist, Castle announced that this year, they would be hosting a pre-event conference, the Cold Table Convo. Entertainers like Sway Calloway, Moozlie, and Cassper Nyovest are just a few of the artists billed for the day. In addition to discussions at the conference, fans will be treated to the Sway Cypher that Sway Calloway is doing in South Africa for the first time. People have been crying for A-Reece to do Sway In The Morning, and now they'll get to enjoy him freestyle in the cypher! In addition, rappers like J Molley, Cassper Nyovest, The Big Hash, and Shane Eagle will all be competing too.
When the time for performances come on Day 2 of Castle Lite Unlocks comes, fans will get to watch Nasty C, Ricky Rick, and Rouge as headliners. Even though everyone had a theory about who would perform, Castle Lite finally announced that Post Malone will be the international headlining act!
