Last week Friday, YoungstaCPT debuted his final single, "YAATIE," from his upcoming album 3T (Things Take Time). This morning, the lyrical powerhouse just dropped the visuals for the new track. Youngsta has a long time recorded relationship with Imraan Christian, a visual artist based in Cape Town; so it comes as no surprise that the two have collaborated again. The "YAATIE" music video was shot in Wittebone, Wynberg as an ode to Youngsta's childhood and "where YoungstaCPT’s story begins."
On top of releasing a song that speaks to the beginning of his life, being his childhood experience, the video gives viewers an idea of a normal day in his youth. “I felt it was only right for me to shoot it in front of the house I grew up in as well as in the street I played outside to paint a picture visually of where these stories took place. Almost like a typical day in the life of a boy from the hood," Youngsta explains about his newest release.
