In the last installment of the "SMA" music video series, Nasty C and Rowlene are back in Cape Town for the visuals. This time around, the couple put forward is far older than the school children of volume 2's version. A red headed Caucasian women is partnered with a bald, tattooed, man of color. This particular couple fights similarly to the couples depicted in the first two videos, however without the element of a "third force." For example, in videos one and two, there was always another woman (or girl) made to be the object of frustration between the leading couple.
Rowlene and Nasty maintain their impassioned performance of their duet in volume three of the "SMA" visuals. Considering the video below is the last installment of the series, viewers will be in a better position to determine their favorite version. In terms of representation, it was beautiful to see different leads in each video, sporting a diverse cast as well. Additionally, Nasty C's camp must be applauded on their commitment to storytelling across different lived experiences and interpretations of what "SMA" means.
