Over the course of the week, Zingah has been preparing us for the release of his first single under his new label, Sony. Through a series of videos, he explained how this song came about, the inspiration behind it, as well as letting us know the space he is in as an artists.
Dubbing the song as “the one,” he officially releases “Dlala,” and it is just that. Taking on a completely different sound than what be normally does, on an Ali Keys and Mass beat, Zingah is experimental and it totally works. “Dlala” is originally African, authentic in its instrumentals and the delivery by Zingah.
Being the trend-setter that he is, this release sets the tone to the kind of artist he has developed into. We’re excited to hear more of what follows from this. It’s new music Friday, and “Dlala” totally needs to go on to your playlist.
