You know it's lit when someone threatens to email your ancestors. That's exactly the kind of heat that Darkie Fiction is professing on their latest feature in Sliqe's 2019 opener, "Standat." Sliqe has been locked up in studio recently, possibly working on Injayam Vol. 2, but he has decided to come out and share some of what he's been working on.
With an affinity for working with new talent, this collaboration comes as no surprise, particularly because of Darkie Fiction's distinctly kwaito-tinged sound - something that Sliqe can easily be drawn to. "Standat" has a cheeky, yet playful, bop to it and the production is certainly something fans can come to enjoy. Katt Daddy and Yoza Mnyanda's seasoned chemistry pretty much takes over the track and you can hear the fun they had putting the song together. Cop the song below and tell us if you're feeling it:
