On your marks, "sek-seddy," AF!
It's a few weeks into 2019 and we're waiting with bated breath for YoungstaCpt's promised OWN 2019 anthem but that doesn't mean that the Cape Crusader is making us wait hopelessly. Being the hard worker that he is, he shares a first of probably many features for the year as Irshaad Ally calls on him for "Hou Jou Man Dop," produced by Ameen Harron.
The single has a classic boom bap funk to it that immediately prompts you to do your own attempts of a crib walk and Harlem shake. YoungstaCpt jumps onto the incredibly nostalgic bounce to rap in more Afrikaans than I've personally ever heard him deliver in one whole song, but then again, the song is titled "Hou Jou Man Dop." He opens the track seamlessly before making way for Irshaad towards the end who adds to his lively raps with his own tales. You'll remember that this combo came to us early last year with "Dala Wat Jy Moet" after YoungstaCpt featured on the soundtrack of the internationally acclaimed South African thriller, Nommer 37. Listen to the bounce in this jam and try not to get lost in it all:
