With just a year since their return to the scene with the message filled Street Livin', their aim now is to pay homage to the golden era and resurrect hip hop. The Black Eyed Peas return with a brand new jam and visuals for the Nas assisted Back 2 Hip Hop, an original BEP futuristic sound.
Directed by Pasha Shapiro, Back 2 Hip Hop is an animated video with a dark red and white forming the majority of the colours, the theme is based around resurrecting the mummies and the pyramids of Egypt. The red and black breaks as Nas appears as a golden pharaoh, using the same image as used on his 1999 release, I Am. Technical in rhymes and technical in the imagery, this is a complete golden era throwback delivery. Vibe to this:
