Isomiso is a collaborative effort from Robin Thirdfloor and Mark Akol which was recorded at the Redbull Studios in Cape Town this May. The rapper and producer had never met face to face prior to the recording, they were familiar with each other on social media and met for the first time in Cape Town to record the EP.
They revealed that a lot of music was recorded but only 3 songs made sense to release in the form of an EP. The title means "drought," as it was recorded in the midst of the drought season that had come upon Cape Town, they also say it refers to the drought in the music industry. The sound is inspired by grime and a mix of kwaito, and in this, Mark and Robin showcase their versatility as they blend these different genres together. Peep the EP below:
