Nasty C is having the biggest of years as he continues to stack up numerous achievements along the way. Coming from winning an AFRIMMA for the Best Male in Southern Africa, and having a successful tour, he has just been awarded with a silver Play Button from YouTube. This is a very special occurrence that I have never witnessed particularly in the South African music scene.
As part of the YouTube Creator Rewards, the Play Button is awarded to the platform's most popular channels by discretion - so not everybody will get it even if their numbers may insinuate that they are deserving. Clearly, after undergoing review Nasty C's channel with more than 100 000 subscribers is worthy of the Silver Play Button. I believe this is a strong indication of the young king's impact and close relationship with his fans which are practically his best friends, not mentioning his level of international interest. The interactive, playful, and many times sweet relationship that Nasty C has with his fans is something every artist should aspire to. In the last year, Nasty C's music video views have all gone past the 1 Million mark with his latest visual for King being the second most viewed on his channel with 4.5 Million views while his first collaboration with Runtown, Said, is sitting at 11 Million views right now. SHU! With the content and streaming culture fast becoming a staple globally, I'd say Nasty C is well positioned to be a constant leader and voice of the new school in our country.
Look who popped by to collect his brand new Play Button! Congratulations @Nasty_CSA! Next up, Gold! #YouTubeZA pic.twitter.com/o9aIDEGZnM
