Cop @Fameboy_Hydro Album, Wattville Baby

By @ on 11/27/2018 in News

Fameboy Hydro made a return to the game back in October, after being absent on the music scene for a number of years, by releasing a new single alongside the north god Da L.E.S titled  Type Of Sh*t I Like. After just over a month since that release, the rapper decided to hit us with a pleasant surprise as he releases a 10 track album titled Wattville Baby. The project boasts features from some prominent names in the industry in Stogie T, Gemini Major, Da L.E.S, and Hayze.

The biggest question that goes through one's mind when an artist that has been away from the scene releases new work is whether the music is still as good as it was before. After listening to this project I can openly say that the rapper still sounds dope enough to go head to head with some of the top artists in the industry right now. The project sees the rapper jumping on upbeat trap instrumentals from Movin all the way to the last joint. If you were a fan of Hydro back in the day then you would know that the rapper keeps his braggadocio and smack talk on the high in his music and this project is no different. The topics the rapper discusses range from his hustle and the love women are showing him, to his lavish lifestyle and expensive whips. We get to hear him brag about his music fortune and famous lifestyle on songs like Movin, Drip, and Money Man. On songs like Type Of Sh*t I Like and Ratchet Dollies the rapper bigs up all his bad bhads mentioning all the love the ladies show him when he pulls up to the club. Pull Up, The Come Up, and Go Get It, see him rap about some of his struggles as an artist and how he had to hustle and walk through the mud to make it in rap. The rapper shortly addresses his absence on Count It Up, where he casually brushes off the idea that he fell off his position in the game.

This project is exactly what Hydro's core fans expect from him, an album full of bangers which will hopefully find life in every hip hop DJ's club playlist this festive. You can purchase the new body of work below.
