By @Nokulunga_Maqubela on 11/23/2018 in Balcony Interview

We're back at with the Balcony Interview, and this time we sit down with Malawian-born, South African record producer and singer-songwriter Gemini Major, aka the guy you need to be working with right now. He unpacks what influenced his move from Family Tree and F2D to heading his own empire, Rudebouy Major.

Gemini talks to us about the importance of investing back into his studio, this being of the most importance to him as he hosts a lot of big artists in his space. With a lot of artists following the independent path, he touches on waking up to his power and him "being a business," while making his own decisions. He also talks about the first cheque he received from SAMRO. So if you're curious to know just how much money comes in from his some of his work, make sure you check this out.
