@LexLeoDrSmile - SEBENZA LEXTAPE EP

The multifaceted LEXLEO, who happens to be a qualified doctor and jeweller, has dropped his debut project titled SEBENZA LEXTAPE. The 5 track EP is a display of more of his musical abilities since he came onto the scene with his debut single, Bafun'ukwazi, a while back.

The rapper is set on proving that he's not a fluke and you won't need much convincing after listening to his EP. From the get go with Sebenza, you already have a gist of his eclectic flavour filled with confidence clearly indicating his seasoned efforts towards the craft. You'll also come to love his multilingual abilities which he gladly sprinkles all over his tracks flaunting his cultural immersion through the music. The production of the EP is quite menacy and uptempo, signalling his influence from the current global sound trend which leans more towards the trap undertone. The big difference is him carving his own path even within this existing sound in music.  

LEXLEO flaunts his multiple delivery styles like the sped up flow (which he's very fond of) on No Reservations, Pray, and U.F.O, as well as the more laid back flow on Flatlined. My favourite thing about following LEO throughout the project is listening to him weave stories of his experiences, hearing his hunger, and most importantly getting gripped by his ambition. By the time you get to Flatlined, you will agree that LEXLEO didn't just wake up and decide to have a music career, he evidently worked at it for periods of time - naturally with room for more growth - and he is perfectly on track in terms of delivering a quality product.
