Joyner Lucas and Tory Lanez had an online altercation on Monday night when the RnB singer said he felt that he could out rap the I'm Not Racist hit maker. The rapper quickly replied to the singer's claims by challenging him to a rap battle which Tory accepted less than six hours later by releasing a freestyle over Eminem and Joyner's Lucky You instrumental. Today sees Joyner Lucas' prompt response to the Toronto artists' swipe at him as he drops his own freestyle over Meek Mill and Tory Lanez's Litty beat.
If I didn't know better I would say the artists planned this brilliant verbal exchange of raps to excite fans for a collab between the two of them, especially with Joyner Lucas insisting on a feature at the end of this record. Whatever the truth might be, this short competitive rap streak has been fun to watch for hip hop fans and the lyricism we got to hear from both camps has been exceptional. Litty Freestyle is definitely a banger filled with aggression and witty wordplay. In my opinion, it's the better diss track of the two even though they are both dope songs.
