Kid X is fresh off a 3 part conversation with us about his double disc debut album, Thank Da King, and he has just announced that some of his fans could be joining him at the next art exhibition he hosts in promotion of his project.
The #TDKArtExperience kicked off in Jo'burg some weeks ago at the AGOG Gallery in Maboneng where Kid X treated special guests to the story of the art pieces found on his album cover, as well as talking about the making of the album itself. On the night, guests were tasked with solving puzzles of his album cover, along with filling in the TDK colouring book - something rather unorthodox for adults to be holding crayons on a night out but it was a hit. To top off the experience Kid X gave an unplugged performance of some hits from his album with the utmost finesse. The #TDKArtExperience is now headed to Pretoria and Kid X is looking to have some fans join in on the party in the city and who knows what they can expect from this leg? Word is the #TDKArtExperience is different with every new one so one can only imagine what else will come of this conception. We're certainly here for the out of the box thinking, more than anything, we appreciate that a rapper in today's generation can channel other elements of art the way Kid X is with his album promotion. See his tweet for instructions on how to enter and we might be seeing you there!
Check it out, this Sunday I'm having another #TDKArtExperience in PRETORIA & you could come too. I'll be selecting a few of you to join me. See images for how to enter ???????? pic.twitter.com/UcagCNvZPf
