9th Wonder's record label, It's A Wonderful World Music Group, recently delivered the second offering from their Jamla Is The Squad sequel titled Jamla Is The Squad II. The album saw label members Rapsody, Actual Proof, Heather Victoria, Reuben Vincent, and GQ all have a hand in the body of work. One of the standout songs on the project is a track by Big K.R.I.T called Knocking At My Door which features David Banner and Jakk Jo.
If you are a fan of 90's gangsta rap then press play and let these three rapper's soothing voices over a boom bap instrumental bring you some blissful nostalgic memories. The song sees the three rappers tell the classic tale of being a drug dealer on the neighbourhood block. The right word to describe this tune is "hard," and yet if you listen closely to the lyrics, you still get to hear a bit of a softer vulnerable side to each of the rappers. Take a listen below.
