We finally sit down with Mfana ka Aunty, Kid X, to chat about his monumental debut album which is a double disc, and has a special art by Dr Esther Mahlangu on the physical discs themselves.
He lets us in on the making of the tracks Mzala Wam', Get Up, and Jozi City Lights. He chats to us about the concept of his song titles on the album; the pressure of trying to get the album off the ground over the past few years, along with what Makwa's recording process is. If I may say so myself, getting this album out is quite a milestone for Kid X seeing as his debut album has been due for about 2 years now.
