While fans anticipate the arrival of Apollo Brown and Joell Ortiz' Mona Lisa, they continue to bless us with a new music leading up to the project. After sharing Timberlan'd Up the pair comes through with an almost sombre Reflections.
Bearing his heart in the lyrics, Joell Ortiz immediately opens up about his feelings over Slaughterhouse's break up before he reflects on the dreams he's had for the success of his rap career. Touching on the battle of being real in the music yet never being a chart topper, Joell's pen bleeds skilfully with his hearts' laments. The less than 4 minute audio clip illustrates Joell's ability to paint emotive and vivid pictures with his lyrics while Apollo provides the perfect blank canvas for his imagery. Although the aforementioned is not the most popular crayon in the box, he also reflects on the fact that he no longer sleeps hungry and that he's no longer at the mercy of eviction. Clearly, he has come a long way albeit not quite where he wants to be yet. These are reflections of a grown man with a bag of dreams and bars in the truckloads.
