Having been away from the music scene for some time, Papoose returned this past weekend with a new tape titled Back 2 The Streets. The project boasts a solid ten tracks that are packed with great lyricism and that classic New York rap sound. A song that embodies this the best is Da Flow which features wordsmiths Dave East and Sheek Louch.
This song reminds me a lot of Nas' 90's hit alongside Diddy, Hate Me Now, with the uncompromising lyricism and theatric lead synth. As you could already guess, the rappers absolutely destroy this beat with Pap taking on the first verse, whilst Dave and Louch come shortly after. No hook just straight bars is the message and every rapper delivers exceptionally. Make sure to take a listen below.
