Translee dropped a brand new EP called Freedom Summer earlier this week and also released a new visual for its title track. We look to highlight Catch This Wave alongside T.I.P which is a song we feel summarises a lot of the ideas found on the project.
The track sees the rappers jump on this gospel inspired, bouncy instrumental and spit some conscious bars. It's refreshing to hear so many rappers address some of the absurd ideologies that exist in the hip hop culture. If you are someone who's tired of hearing music that promotes black on black violence but shuns police brutality, then this track will definitely speak to you. Make sure to take a listen.
