Following the trailer shared this past month, we finally get to see Jub Jub's Mabele visuals featuring Thanda K and they are nothing short of impressive.
The Uthando Noxolo presenter gets his hands dirty, found in an open field ploughing mabele (sorghum) and working the soil with his team as they join him in singing along to the song. It's such a beautiful sight to see Jub Jub take pride in age old South African ways of living, depicting life in the homelands and how simple life used to be - and still is in some parts of the country. The scenic video follows the life of a father, a provider, and an earnest working man who simply wants to do right by his family every day. The message of the song, paired with the humbling motion picture are more than enough to give you black pride and have you nodding your head in agreement that Jub Jub and his team outdid themselves with this music video. More importantly, the underlying messages of respecting tradition and the subtle depiction of a gentle man's true role in society are much appreciated. There's nothing like artists that insist on telling the true stories of our people through their art, reaching many an ordinary citizen of this country through this rap thing. We are incredibly proud of this visual. PULA!
