For forty years, The Loeries have been rewarding creativity and continued its mission this past weekend as it awarded some creatives for their hard work in film, television, and advertising.
Following his recent announcement of having his music video for Spirit showcased at a Hong Kong exhibition, Kwesta's visual was acknowledged at The Loeries. The K1 GOAT eventually scooped a silver award in the Film Communication category for the great work done on his music video. This comes just weeks after the rapper was listed amongst other local talents for nominations at the AFRIMMA's as well as the DSTV Viewer's Choice Awards, but he wasn't the only one to triumph at The Loeries.
Khuli Chana and Absolut Vodka's One Source campaign landed their second award nomination in two months since making the shortlist at the Cannes Lions. One Source received a campaign gold award for the category, Effective Creativity, amongst other creative campaigns including those for Chicken Licken and Nissan.
This is a great feat for South African hip hop and local creatives, looking forward to seeing more homegrown artists honoured for their talent.
