@KhuliChana Shares Unheard PRO Audio For #UnreleasedThursday #DankieSan

By @ on 08/17/2018 in Listen

This week has been a pretty sad week for South African hip hop as the country continues to lament the death of one of its most talented children in PRO, who passed away last week. Musicians and fans have been sending their condolences and sharing their memories of the rapper all throughout the week. Khuli Chana shares his own memory piece for his unreleased Thursday series this week as he releases an unheard snippet of an interview of the rapper, apparently taken from a doccie series he was recording on PRO's classic album Heads or Tales

The track starts off with a very relevant hook from none other than Khuli himself, before switching into PRO's interview. The Soweto emcee can be heard explaining the title of the Heads and Tales project and also talks about the inspiration for Ungaphel'Umoya Son which was one of the biggest songs on the album. This snippet, although short, shows just how much of a lyricist and voice of the people PRO was in his music. It's pretty dope to see that Khuli and PRO connected before the rapper passed away and hopefully we will get to see the full doccie at some point. Make sure to check it out.
