Cape Town rap duo, Phresh Clique, share a tribute they did for their kwaito hero, the late R. Mashesha of Big Nuz, with the Umlilo Freestyle.
The girls highlight the freestyle which is lifted off their recently dropped EP, Take Off. They pay tribute to Mashesha by owning Big Nuz' classic hook from Umlilo before they rap about the hustle to make it in the game. Giving us their signature flavour, the girls keep the pace laid back as they honour the memory of the artist who passed away on the 7th of August in 2015. It's so dope to see young people praising their icons through music, particularly people who have had an impact on a soundscape of an era. Camagu.
