The rap industry is marred with an obsession with a God figure, artists usually find themselves comparing their following to a God like leadership or get upset at fans who try to tell them how to live their lives cause well, they're not God. Travis Scott dropped his much anticipated Astroworld project last week to critical acclaim from both critics and fans alike. One of the songs that had the streets talking was Stop Trying To Be God, which had a lot of people asking what he meant and who he was speaking to. The rapper brings his ideas to life as he drops off the cinematic visual to the song and it explains quite a bit. 

The visual sees Travis attempt to take the role of God and it does not end very well, to say the least. The possible message in the visual could be to rappers that take their rap following as a God like leadership, as we get to see Travis baptising some convents into trappers in the video. The biblical references used all throughout the video act as a great way to communicate the message of the video to viewers in a simple manner.
