Since we last spoke to Makwa, he has been quiet on the scene before he started dropping music freestyles which showed that he's ready to share some music. Kum'nyama is a catchy tune, characteristic of his style, and it encompasses unapologetically South African elements of maskandi in the song's underbelly. The track is about courage and going on regardless of hard times, something a lot of us can relate to. Cleverly sampling Brenda Fassie's Sum' Bulala, Makwa gives the classic a heavier body through the maskandi guitar(s), addictive drums, as well as his and Kid X's signature vocals. WE LOVE IT!
