Big Star recently came back from performing at this year's Midem festival where himself and a bunch of artists from around the world were selected to come and expose their talents to other musicians and professionals from various industries. The Vuzu Hustle graduate has also signed a licensing deal with Warner Music South Africa which he believes will help make bring his ideas to life. He joins the likes of Locnville and Zahara amongst other local artists signed to the company.

Now home, Big Star is focusing most of his attention on his upcoming debut album which is expected to drop later this month. He also shared the project's official tracklist, housing a total of twelve songs and five features from The Dreamers, Kaylow, Rouge, Jay Claude, as well as Kwesta who assists Star on a track titled Sgubu.
The basic concept around this album is "One Weekend" in my life and all the things and thoughts that go down in that one weekend.
