It's been a long time coming and fans of the spaza rap gods, Driemanskap, will be delighted to know that the album process of Hlala Nam has finally drawn to a close. El Nino, Dla, Ma B, and Redondo will finally get to share the music they've been working on in the past year or so prepping for the album.
Having heard pieces of the album when we went to visit the fellas a while back, we can assure you that you are in for an incredible treat. The album houses diverse flavours of sound while keeping true to the authentic Driemanskap core we've come to love them for. You will also experience some pleasant surprises where the new age of music is concerned - we won't say anything more than this, just wait for it. The most potent, and gripping part of the album is the spiritual trips you will take with the group, think about classics in their catalogue like Izulu Lelam. Man, we can't wait for you to hear this piece.
They haven't mentioned any official dates to the pubic but we can confirm that you will have an album preorder within the next two weeks with the album itself arriving in early September. Hlala Nam will certainly be my perfect birthday gift. Stay tuned for updates from these young legends.
