The arrival of King Zakwe's third studio album is upon us and he's laid his heart all out in the music. If you had any questions about Zakwe over the past couple of years, purchase yourself a copy, turn up your stereo, and all will be answered.

Zakwe begins this album on a thankful note, from the second track of the album on songs like Ngiyabonga and More Blessings the rapper thanks his family, friends, artists, and most of all God for assisting him to get to the position that he is in the industry. He certainly addresses a lot of questions here on what has been going on in his life over the past few years. He lays all those questions to rest while bringing you to his current state of mind. Things begin to pick up from Hood featuring Beast where we get to hear more of what we know Zakwe for, the bars. Tracks like the aforementioned and General 2.0 certainly bring some nostalgia of why the hood fell in love with Zakwe in the first place. If bars are the reason you fell in love with Zakwe, Umkhuleko will probably be one of your favorite from the project 'cause the rapper is showing off with the wordplay.

Sebentin which was the lead single to the album presents the beginning of a different atmosphere to the project. Though the track in itself is turned up, it welcomes a more emotional and motivational section of the album. Songs like Blood and Roots, which are my personal favourite, will have you emotional over the ills faced by our society whilst also giving you a sense of hope for the future - big up to all the artists involved. The emotional ambiance doesn't last long as it's time to brighten things up, tracks like Ivari, Dideng, and Ikleva certainly had me busting a young move on my office seat whilst the rapper still managed to maintain his lyrical prowess and commanding flow.

He switches back to his emotive side soon after that on songs like Imphilo and Indlela. Indlela, specifically, is very touching as it is dedicated to his brother. The rapper is very vulnerable on the joint opening up about tensions that have existed between them and how he loves him regardless. The song also acts as an eye-opener to the fact that artists have to continue with career obligations even in the face of serious family troubles.

We then close off the project with a mix, joints like Genius and the Sebentin Remix will certainly have you turning up. Inkunzi and Hell are Zakwe getting down to business and giving us bars, whilst Idols certainly has that emotion evoking feel to it. Congratulations to Zakwe on this amazing body of work, it is really worth the listen. Check it out:
